witty women writers
October 10, 2008so tonight i went to the book cellar in lincoln square for the witty women writers night. there were four authors, all witty women, and the place was packed! i have never actually been to a reading before, but all four women read from new material. i have only read one of the authors before, jen lancaster, but i thoroughly enjoyed all four of the women’s material. the other authors were amy guth, stacey ballis, and wendy mclure. i will absolutely be reading some of their books. and am in love with the book cellar. not only is it a book store, but they have wine. and coffee. yes michelle, i know you’re jealous, but we will go when you come visit!
I just realized who Jen Lancaster is. I was checking out one of her books the other day, but haven’t actually read it. It sounded interesting, and now that I’ve read her blog I think I’m definitely going to have to pick up one of her books! I hope when I come to visit they have something as fun as a “witty women writers reading” (that’s kind of a tongue-twister!). Maybe I’ll have to plan my trip around that. ha.
Glad you had fun!! I am all over it next time they have something like that!
